The 631st Birth Anniversary of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Ji & the Silver Jubilee year of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Vancouver & Shri Guru Ravi Dass Nagar Kirtan
The celebrations of the 631st Birth Anniversary of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj, the Silver Jubilee year of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha (Vancouver) and Shri Guru Ravi Dass First Nagar Kirtan on March 15, 2008 in Burnaby, BC (Canada) clearly indicate the fact that Indo-Canadian Dalit Brotherhood has not only made a dignified place for itself in the land of freedom and democracy in Canada but has also carved a niche in the multicultural society of the nation. This speaks volumes of hard work and perseverance of the Dalit Brotherhood and its surging strives towards further development that would certainly go a long way for the transformation of social and cultural conditions of our brothers back home. Dalit Diaspora has started functioning as an agency for a positive change at home. The organisation of Dalit conferences and Nagar Kirtans are but a few steps towards that direction.
Ambedkartimes.com put on record its congratulations to Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha (Vancouver) & the entire sangat of Vancouver for this historic endeavor in the emerging history of Dalit Diaspora.
THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT

INDIAN BUDDHIST SOCIETIES CONGRATULATE TO SHRI GURU RAVIDASS SABHA VANCOUVER ( CANADA )
R. K. Oshoraj
Indian Buddhist Society Vancouver, Canada participated first Guru Ravidas Nagar Kirtan organized by Shri Guru Ravidas Sabha Vancouver on March 15, 2008. This was an historical event and participation proved a commitment of all social organizations to work together for the common cause of social equality which was the extreme purpose of Guru Ravidas Ji's revolution.
Such a big gathering at this program proves the unity of our community and sends a message to other social organizations that we are one and we are determined to follow our forefathers’ teachings and mission.
The presence of Indian Buddhist Society Vancouver in the Nagar Kirtan, strengthened the message of Lord Buddha who was first to fight against social inequality and his message was also carried forward by Guru Ravidas Ji, Baba Sahib Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and Sahib Kanshi Ram.
We congratulate Shri Guru Ravidass Sabha Vancouver, especially the organizers of the Nagar Kirtan to arrange such a wonderful event where all marked their attendance to prove the unity and support.
